Weekly Market Report

The week in the Indian market on one page: indices, breadth, risk, sectors, factor styles and what is coming next week. Builds itself every trading evening.

About the Weekly Market Report

One page with the whole week in the Indian market: how Nifty 50, Bank Nifty, Nifty 500, midcaps and smallcaps moved and what stood out, a heatmap of every NSE sector, theme and broad index, market breadth, the share of indices above their 40-week average, the risk score and regime and what moved it, and inside Nifty 500: how many stocks rose or fell, how many sit near or far from their 52-week high, and the biggest moves.

It also shows a sector rotation map against Nifty 500, which sectors moved into or out of the Leading zone, Nifty, midcap and smallcap P/E against their own history, factor styles against Nifty 50 and US and global markets. For the week ahead: the range Nifty options are pricing, the strikes with the most open interest, the expiries, RBI dates and holidays coming up, and how the coming month went in past years.

Pick any of the last 8 weeks to see that week's report. Everything is built automatically from the same NSE data as the other trackers, so it updates by itself every trading evening.

Common questions

When is the weekly report updated?

Every trading evening after NSE publishes its data, so on Friday night it shows the full week. During the week it shows the week so far.

Where does the data come from?

NSE index closes, P/E and F&O closing prices, and the site's own breadth calculation. The same data feeds Market Sentiment, the Regime Gauge, Sector Strength, the Factor Dashboard and Expected Move.

Is this a recommendation?

No. It reports what the market did and what option prices imply. It does not say what to buy or sell.
